Covert w/Audio:
Many of
our clients ask about audio with covert video. Although it would be nice
there are still some things that are sacred in this world. A very
"gray" Federal law states that it is illegal to even advertise any
device intended to intercept audio communications between people. We DO
NOT sell any covert video cameras that can transmit audio. Sorry. If you
are a law enforcement buyer you are aware of the appropriate paperwork needed to
secure this type of product. Here are the laws if you would like to read

Recommended for home and office. Cell phones, portable phones, beepers,
police band radio, fire band and many other type of devices will interfere with
the 434 and 900 MHz transmitters. 2.4 is a Microwave frequency that is far
above this interference noise and will be less affected. Excellent for
stationary surveillance.

Now, how do you decide between 434 MHz and 900 MHz? The 434 MHz
transmits directly to your TV or VCR without any special receiver. So if
you order the 434 MHz you have all you need. The 900 MHz needs a
receiver but is a little better quality. If you order the 900 MHz you
need to get a receiver (hooks up to your TV or VCR) or a monitor with a
built-in receiver (only available for Black and White cameras). Our
7" monitor is black & white, AC/DC powered and can receive
signals from 3 different cameras.
434 and 900 MHz are recommended for body-wires.
434 MHz is twice as efficient as 900 MHz, has greater penetrating power,
and works the best when faced with movement. They are more prone
to interference than 2.4 GHz though. 434 MHz transmissions are
received in one of two ways. 1. Using Cable-Ready TV or VCR,
set unit to *Cable* (vs broadcast) mode, plug an antenna where you would
normally have your cable going in, and tune to channel 59. This
method is perfect for *locking-in* the signal. 2. Using a
Palm-Type handheld TV while in close proximity to the transmitting
source, scan the UHF band until you find the surveillance broadcast.
Once your TV has locked-in on the channel, you can distance yourself
from the transmitting source. |
