The SL700
(24/48 hour) and SL800
(960 hour) Security Labs time lapse recorders offer the user a host of features
not found in a consumer VCR. Time lapse recording extends the maximum time per
tape of eight hours on a standard VCR to up to 960 hours (40 days) per tape.
Time and
date is
recorded on every frame for knowing exactly when an event occurred.
Programmable on screen text can identify the location being recorded. Loop
recording permits the recorder to rewind at the end of the tape and start
recording again unattended. Event recording is available when a trigger from a
door switch, PIR, or other security activation device triggers the recorder.
Event recording can be set to record events only when they occur. time
lapse recordings can be programmed to record in time lapse mode, and to
increase the frame rate to real time when triggered by a panic or alarm
switch. Other features include alarm search, index search, automatic power on
when triggered, automatic video pass through when the time lapse is off,
separate microphone input, end of tape output, series output (for connecting
multiple recorders together), timer recording, selectable playback speed,

- The event recorder has been
making history since 1993. Designed as a full featured but cost effective
alternative to time lapse recording, the security event recorder has
captured
- countless critical events for
the business, restaurant, and home owner, as well as schools, convenience
stores, and many more. Real time is defined as full frame rate (30 fps) and
delivers the maximum amount video information of any recorder. Because of
its high capture rate, the SL611 records for only 8 hours (T-160) on a tape.
The event recording feature can extend changing tapes dramatically. Event
recording can be programmed to only record during activity. When connected
to a passive infrared detector (PIR), or other activity sensing device such
as a door switch, the SL611 will go into action. Since the SL611 can be
programmed only to record during activity, the number of events recorded on
one tape can range from one to over 2,500; all in full frame rate. Other
features include automatic power up and record, 62 programmable event times

- SL420 Mobile
security recorder
- The SL420 is a feature packed solution to
mobile recording. A host of recording options and user friendly on
screen menus for operational setup have made the SL420 ideal for police,
emergency vehicle, bus, or commercial transit use. The time /date and a
running frame counter is always recorded to the tape. Five
- selectable input triggers can be connected
to 1 2 volt devices such as overhead
lights, turn signals, sirens, etc. to automatically command the SL420 to
record. The recorder can also be programmed to record continuously anytime
the vehicle is on. A selectable delay (1 to 20 minutes) allows the SL420
to record after the record trigger device is turned off. Each input can
have a identifying character recorded on tape to verify the device was on.

| The UL-500 real-time event recorder is an
advanced, high-quality audio/video recorder designed for video
surveillance systems. The UL-500 offers a selectable event record time
of 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 3 minutes, or 10 minutes after a triggered
event. It also features continuous record up to 8 hours after an event
(a T-160 tape is required).
The UL-500 is also equipped with an RS-232 interface allowing PC
control of recorder, operational functions, status monitoring and
security function programming. Additionally, the UL-500 allows up to 100
characters to be programmed on screen to identify camera locations and
recorder information. In the event mode, if recording has not taken

The EVO-250
|
| The EVO-250 is a standard 8mm
videocassette recorder/player which can also play back Hi8 recorded
tapes. The advantages of the 8mm format are fully reflected in the
EVO-250: compact size, lightweight, portability and long recording
capability. Many user-friendly features, such as SP/LP mode recording,
Quick Start recording, AFM hi-fi stereo audio recording and BI-lingual
program sound monitoring enhance its operability. In addition, the
AC/DC operation capability facilitates its use in the field. The
EVO-250 will be an effective tool in various business applications for
both Video 8 and Hi8 users. |
FEATURES
Compact and Lightweight
The EVO-250 is extremely compact and lightweight by taking advantage
of the 8mm format. It weighs only 670g (1lb. 8oz. - without battery)
and can be used virtually anywhere.
Quasi Hi8 Playback Capability
The EVO-250 has a quasi playback capability of Hi8 tapes recorded in
SP mode. When a Hi8 recorded tape is inserted, the EVO-250
automatically adjusts the de-emphasis circuit for the Hi8 format.
Thus, both Hi8 and standard 8mm video tapes can be played back
regardless of the format.
The image of Hi8 recorded tapes will be reproduced with
standard 8mm picture resolution.
CONVENIENT FEATURES
Quick Start Mechanism
To provide immediate recording, the EVO-250 incorporates the Quick
Start mechanism. It takes approximately 2 seconds from STOP to REC
mode, making the VTR always ready to capture the desired image.
SP/LP Mode Recording Capability
The EVO-250 provides both SP and LP mode recording/playback. A maximum
of 5 hours recording can be performed for extended recording
application (with Sony P6-150 cassette).
AC/DC Operation
For use in a variety of applications, the EVO-250 can be operated with
either AC or DC power. In addition to AC power operation with the
optional AC-S10 AC power adapter, the supplied DC pack, DCP-77,
provides car battery operation for mobile use. The optional battery
packs NP-60D/80/80d are also available for portable use.
Safety Lid
A sliding lid on the front panel covers the function buttons to
prevent accidental changes in operation.

Automatic Selection
The VIDEO/AUDIO input/output connectors automatically switch between
input an output according to the operating modes. Current input/output
status is shown on the display window.

AFM HI-FI Stereo Audio Recording
The EVO-250 provides AFM (Audio Frequency Modulated) hi-fi stereo
recording. Thus high fidelity sound accompanies high quality pictures.
Stereo or BI-lingual Program Sound
Monitoring
In addition to stereo sound monitoring, the EVO-250 has secondary
audio playback capability. Since two different sound sources are
recorded on separate audio channels, such as in a BI-lingual audio
system, either Main, Sub or Mixed sound monitoring can be selected by
pressing the AUDIO MONITOR button.
USER FRIENDLY FEATURES
Linear Time Counter
The linear time counter shows tape position in hours, minutes and
seconds to indicate tape running time.
Warning Indicator
To assure safety in operation, the EVO-250 has a warning indicator
function. When the battery becomes weak, the POWER lamp and the
battery warning indicator start blinking. If moisture condenses inside
the VTR, the moisture condensation indicator light will blink.
Control L Terminal (REMOTE)
The EVO-250 is equipped with a Control L IN terminal which allows the
VTR to be remotely controlled by other Sony equipment.
